Running club in Frankfurt since 1990
Running, Walking and Nordic walking together with others – this is what Ginnheimer Lauftreff is all about. We do this in wonderful nature in the middle of Frankfurt and we regularly explore the city and its surroundings. We all love to exercise, want to do something for our health and improve physical fitness, and we value spending time with interesting people from around the world.
Experienced group leaders lead groups of all classes. Our goal is that all return to the starting point in good shape and spirits.
Doing sports at Ginnheimer Lauftreff is easy. Everything is voluntary – all can, no one has to. Those who engage as team leaders or in the leadership team do this as a community service and without consideration.
All are welcome
We sincerely welcome adult runners, joggers and walkers of all ages. We are joined by absolute beginners, occasional sportspersons as well as ambitious athletes and seasoned marathon runners.
We run for fun, and many participate in open races (public runs) and competitions. Ginnheimer Lauftreff is regularly well represented at the Frankfurt New Year’s Eve Run and the half marathons in Frankfurt and Neu-Isenburg. We traditionally operate the largest water station at kilometer 10 at the Frankfurt Marathon.

Frankfurt is an open-minded and fascinating city where people want to, and can, be happy irrespective of their origin, beliefs and preferences. The vast majority of Frankfurters enjoys living here. Frankfurt regularly ranks among the Top 10 in quality of living surveys for cities.
We are committed to this goal since Ginnheimer Lauftreff was established in 1990: All love to come and join us. This is why the number of participants is constantly rising. And quite a few make new friends, some have even found their partner for life.
